Tom Friedman - President
Ashley Jones
Tom is president of Friends of Newton Tennis, Inc. and has raised over $80,000 to repair Newton's 60 public tennis hard courts. An avid tennis player, he is still learning new things to improve his game and plays in lots of doubles round robins. Also a successful business leader, he has launched companies and exited successfully. He enjoys mentoring startups and is an active angel investor.
Dylan Fayerman - Director of Operations

​Dylan serves as the Director of Operations for Friends of Newton Tennis, Inc., and is the Tournament Director for the Garden City Tennis Series. A 5-star ranked athlete and one of the top junior tennis players in New England, Dylan has extensive national tournament experience and is committed to playing tennis for Northwestern University next fall.
Dave Fish
Don Francis
Dave was the Harvard Men's Tennis Coach for 42 years and was inducted into the ITA Men's Collegiate Tennis Hall of Fame for outstanding contributions to the game and development in the Harvard program. He was Head of Development for UTR and established the highly sought after system to evaluate players. Currently CEO of NXT Athletics Institute for Learning, Dave is promoting the value and education of sports, evaluating the best teaching methods to maximize the potential, learning, and development of children as people and athletes.
Christo Schultz
Don Francis
Christo is the Head Men's Tennis Coach at Brandeis University and director of Racquet Sports at Charles River Country Club. He was formerly a high performance manager at the New England Academy of Tennis, coaching top juniors. A standout competitor, he played D1 tennis at Harvard. He is also USPTA certified.
Dickie Herbst
Alexa Young
Dickie started NXT Athletics Institue for Learning and is working to implement novel strategies for the way education is taught to young children. A former ATP player and coach, he has coached tennis stars such as Patrick McEnroe and Tim Mayotte. Also a multi-sport athlete, Dickie started playing tennis as a freshman in high school, and then went onto get a full tennis scholarship to Pepperdine University.
Jamie Cerretani
Alexa Young
Jamie is a former ATP professional tennis player and a current ATP touring coach, who has served as a ATP Player Council Representative. He has competed and won matches in all four grand slam tournaments (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, US Open), and is the owner of four ATP titles, seven ATP finals and two Wimbledon quarterfinals. A standout in college at Brown University, he was an All-Ivy League performer and the 2001 Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
Sophie Wax
Alexa Young
Sophie is captain of the Tufts Women's Tennis team, and is passionate about spreading her love for tennis in the community and bringing people together. She loves to create junior tournaments and help young children become better people and players, emphasizing the intangible superpowers - smiling, body language, sportsmanship, making friends, and having fun. Also majoring in biomedical engineering, she hopes to pursue her masters in Biongineering and go to Medical School.
